Granted this isn't an original character. This is Glen Keane's Long John Silver from Disney's Treasure Planet. I did draw this freehand from a reference photo. When I started sketching the character I noticed he is basically two spheres stacked on top of each other, the belly and the shoulders. I have always loved Glen Keane's artwork and really enjoyed this sketch. I sketched this sometime in 2010.
